New Resource for Women Heading Back to the Workforce Launches in Greater Boston, Mass

Press Release: New Resource for Women Heading Back to the Workforce Launches in Greater Boston, Mass

BOSTON, Mass. – February 7, 2017 – While Massachusetts unemployment numbers are at 16-year lows, those statistics don’t account for the thousands of mothers who opted out of the workforce to raise their children and now want to restart their careers. Lexington, Massachusetts mother and HR and business development executive Miki Feldman Simon has started IamBackatWork.com to help women on their path to return to the workforce.
How do you explain a 5 year or a decade-long gap in your work history? Where do you find professional references when you haven’t talked to your former colleagues in more than five years? Feldman Simon has trusted guidance for mothers who might feel intimidated by the job search process. On IamBackatWork.com, job seekers can find tips on how to navigate the path back to a successful career. IamBackatWork.com offers webinars that cover a range of critical topics for the woman who wants to return to work. Webinar subjects include networking, planning a successful search, resume and LinkedIn profile writing, interviewing skills and using social media to job hunt.
“For women who have been out of the workforce for several years the process of re-entering the workforce can be overwhelming. They also often don’t have the means or desire to invest in expensive programs. I want to create an online community that offers practical and proven advice to job seekers at a fraction of the cost,” Feldman Simon said.
Launching IamBackatWork.com has been a dream come true for this working mother. Feldman Simon has taken career pauses more than once- to take care of her children, parents, or move continents. She knows the struggle so many mothers face firsthand, and she has successfully navigated her own return to the workforce on more than one occasion.
Now, Feldman Simon is helping a community of women inspire each other to reach their full potential.
