Sunday, I spoke with fellow panelists & HR experts, Yana Shechterman, Michal Kimeldorfer & Nivi Rabbi, at a Women in NE conference.
We are all optimistic looking into 2021 and here are the reasons why:
1. We are seeing a lot more emphasis given to DEI – Diversity Equity and Inclusion, whether it is more systemic in larger organizations or as a value & focus in smaller startups.
2. Vaccines are bringing hope. We are impressed by their technological development, a process that was accomplished in months instead of years. Yes, it will still take time for us all to get vaccinated, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel & we are looking forward to seeing friends, family & colleagues, close & far.
3. Remote work is here to stay. Many organizations are talking about a future where workers will fully or partially work remotely. We believe that the flexibility of remote work will enable working mothers to remain in the workforce.
4. Women are breaking the glass ceiling. Today, we will have a woman Vice President, Kamala Harris. With her, also many other highly qualified women & minorities will be taking office. This is a lot to celebrate!
2020 was a challenge with many of its difficulties carrying over into 2021. We are choosing to focus & embrace the opportunities that 2021 has for us.
